No-Oven Rice Bread
Ingredients:
- 200g of powdered rice
- 230ml of warm milk
- 4g of instant dry yeast
- 20g of sugar
- 10g of olive oil or sunflower oil
- 3g of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the Yeast Mixture:
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in a bowl with the warm milk. Allow it to sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy, ensuring that the yeast is active. - Combine Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix the powdered rice and salt together, ensuring they are well combined before introducing wet ingredients. - Mixing the Dough:
Gradually add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring consistently. Since each rice flour may have a different moisture content, add the milk mixture gradually, ensuring that the dough does not become too wet. - Incorporate the Oil:
Add the olive oil (or sunflower oil) to the mixture. Stir until it is fully integrated into the dough. - Fermentation:
Allow the dough to ferment in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will ensure that the bread is light and airy. - Release the Gas:
Once the dough has fermented, stir it to release any gas bubbles formed during the fermentation process. - Prep the Pan:
Heat a 20 cm pan over medium heat for a few seconds. Then, lightly grease the pan with cooking oil to prevent sticking. - Pour and Settle the Dough:
Pour the dough into the pan, tapping the pan gently to distribute the dough evenly across the surface. - Second Fermentation:
Place an aluminum foil cover over the pan and let the dough ferment again for another 20-30 minutes. This second rise will enhance the bread’s fluffiness. - Cook the Bread:
Place the cover back on and turn the heat down to low. Allow the bread to cook for 10-13 minutes. If the top of the bread has solidified and obtained a crust, flip the bread onto a plate and slide it back into the pan. - Final Cooking Step:
Cook the other side on low heat for an additional 5-6 minutes. Ensure that the bread is fully cooked through and has a lovely golden color.
And there you have it! Your no-oven rice bread is ready to be enjoyed! 🍞😋”
